Tim Wade



Tim has owned and headed a variety of businesses, ranging in scale from several thousand employees, to small companies with just a small team. He was Group CEO and a major shareholder in one of the UK’s leading specialist engineering companies, listed on the London Stock Exchange. As a result, Tim has strong UK and International business building experience - his previous company winning the Queens Award for Export. In this role he honed his skills in asking the questions that matter of senior managers around the world and of ensuring that well developed strategies are in place, acted on and measured against


Having retired, Tim is now an active farmer and an angel investor, working with management teams to define and achieve corporate objectives.


As Chairman of Jewers Grain Tim is helping the management team drive business investment and growth, through a combination of vision, strategy, innovation, service quality and delivery.


Matt Jewers BSc Hons
Managing Director

Matthew Jewers has over 20 years experience in the agricultural and fresh produce industry, with periods of work in London, Kenya and Suffolk.


He has a proven track record for managing people, initiating progressive investment strategies and winning new business.


In recent years he has driven significant change and growth at Jewers Grain. This includes the construction of a new site, the development of new business streams and the addition of new staff.


Matt is passionate about providing a high quality customer experience across Jewers business. He and his team strive to place customer support, pro-active initiatives and attention to detail at the heart of their daily mindset.

Clive Gilham BA Hons, FCA
Chief Financial Officer


Clive is a Chartered Accountant - trained and qualified with a Big Four firm in London - with over 30 years in industry and commerce, initially with larger corporations but more recently with SMEs.


Clive has been Chief Executive of two public companies and Finance Director of several private companies: covering the consumer goods, technology, software and support services sectors. His considerable corporate finance experience includes raising equity, debt and working capital funding, as well as leading on a number of completed acquisitions and disposals.


In addition to his role as Financial Controller at Jewers Grain, Clive is also part-time Chief Executive of Colchester Community Stadium Limited (a large hospitality venue and football stadium), plus a part-time Finance Director for growing entrepreneurial SMEs through The FD Centre Limited.



Heidi Graham

General Manager


Heidi has extensive management experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, sales and customer service.


Joining the business from maltings specialists Muntons of Stowmarket, Heidi was latterly the Commercial Manager of the Wholesale Operation, responsible for all operational aspects and homebrew in the UK.


With extensive experience of leading large teams, alondside responsibility for customer orders and financial targets, Heidi has worked in operations both in the UK and South Africa. 


Her knowledge of the grain business and meticulous attention to detail mean she is ideally placed to oversee the busy, customer focussed operations at Jewers Grain. 

Sonia Jewers MSc, BA

HR Controller


Sonia is an MSc qualified Occupational Psychologist who supports clients to deliver their organisational strategy through their people. Her clients span both public and private sectors and she has delivered change across all levels of an organisations.


Sonia’s particular focus is leadership development to support cultural change, which is a key part of her role as HR Controller at Jewers over the past three years.
